The Sea that devoured the sky out Now
After several years of focusing on his artistic genre-crossing artist project Bear Garden - with Europe tours and ads on BBC6Music as "Beat of the week" and American KEXP, great reviews in many major Scandinavian publications and major support across jazz and experimental streaming service editorials - Martin Wirén is now releasing his first single from upcoming album where he shows off his solo technique that he has developed for the past 12 years.
The song “The Sea that Devoured the Sky” paints a new palette in Martin’s way of composing. It takes the listener on a journey through a fluid and expressive harmonic structure, which creates a wave of colorful sounds. Martin plays with the contrasts found in the saxophone, a screaming high register and a soft low register, which creates a sense of enigma, like the sea itself.
